The Collard Green Distraction Solver

Predicting the Point of Regret in Slow-Cooked Greens
Heath Springs, 1982. The choir was hitting the high notes on "Amazing Grace," the smoke was rising from the cast iron, and I was humming along. Four minutes later, the collards were a symphony of blackened regret. This calculator tells you when the choir will win.

The Formula:
Distraction Factor = (Choir Minutes × 1.2) + (Humidity ÷ 10) - (Temp - 275) ÷ 25
If DF > 15, the greens are tender.
If DF > 25, the choir wins. The pot is empty.
